•I am sure that you've had this experience: you log onto a system, do some work, then when you access another part of the system … argh … the system asks you to log on again! During a single session you may have to log on many times. This is very frustrating.
•SAML can be used to enable you to sign on just once (single sign-on, SSO). Your authentication information is passed (behind the scenes) between each application you visit.
